VINTAGE 1930's GOLD JACQUARD WEDDING DRESS

A simply stunning vintage wedding dress, handmade by the original owner circa 1938. The dress has soft puffed sleeves and a lengthened back hem for a small train effect. The fabric is beautiful, a satin jacquard weave of branch motifs mixing cream and metallic gold threads, resulting in a creamy satin with subtle pale gold shimmering through on the linear pattern. As the dress was homemade it is unlined, and the interior finishing is simple.
Very Good condition, extremely slight/barely visible discolouration to the underarms. (the dress has been freshly cleaned) Some light brown faint marks from storage scattered through the bodice and skirts - the most noticeable is shown in the last photo. Slight grubbiness to hem edge. Priced according to condition.

- HIPS - free due to skirt volume
- LENGTH - 52.5" at front, 11" longer at back hem.
- Please note that the only opening on this dress is at the side seam, so you may need to measure slightly smaller than the measurements given to allow 'wiggle room' to get the dress on comfortably. Side opening could always be lengthened by a seamstress to make it easier.
