- A beautiful vintage 1920's bag, combining a Chinese silk fabric body with an ornate frame, set with polished 'stones' and 'jewels'. The yellow silk base is heavily embroidered with silk threads, one side with Hokusai style waves, the other with abstract swirls, all edged with gold metal thread. Lined in blue chinese motif silk jacquard.

REF #365- An absolutely incredible late Victorian antique sterling silver mounted bag, marked with the stamp of the Gorham Manufacturing Co, Providence and copright 1888. Gorham were a very high quality US maker and this is a particularly ornate and intricate mount. The body of the bag is in immaculate black watered silk.
